JG Ballard - 1930 -2009 RIP

• THE acclaimed author JG Ballard, whose novels include Crash and Empire of the Sun, has died after a long illness. He was 78.
• Despite being referred to as a science fiction writer, Ballard said his books were “picturing the pyschology of the future.”

Today’s the anniversary of Ishi’s death.

• Ishi (c. 1860 – March 25, 1916) was the pseudonym of the last member of the Yahi, in turn the last surviving group of the Yana people of California. Ishi is believed to be the last Native American in Northern California to have lived most of his life completely outside the European American culture. He emerged from the wild near Oroville, California, leaving his ancestral homeland in the foothills near Lassen Peak.
• Ishi means man in the Yahi dialect of Yana; his real name was never known because it was taboo in Yahi society to say one’s own name. Since he was the last member of his tribe, his real name died with him.

Ron Asheton, guitarist from the Stooges was found dead today. “I wanna be your dog” and “No Fun” were just two of the most killer and dirty riffs he gave to the rock world.

A true weirdo, the recently deceased Senator Pell. He did his best to promote a better understanding and tactical knowledge of remote viewing and UFOs.
